The red cabbage is special for me. I pretty much use it before any other cabbage in everything from cabbage rolls to salads. I decided to create and Asain style cabbage salad with a unique blend of dressing that has a little kick to it.

First I cut up half a small cabbage into thin strips which are easier to eat and absorb the mixture. I then placed it in a bowl while I made the dressing.

Here is the mixture

Tum Yum paste ( ready-made in a jar) - 1 teaspoon

Apple cider vinegar - 1/2 cup ( or use any other you like)

Thyme - a dash

Basil - a dash

Korean Taekyeung Red pepper flakes -1/2 teaspoon

Sesame oil - tablespoon

Season black pepper and kosher salt

Sesame seeds - tablespoon

Mix all thoroughly and let sit on the counter. Mix every half hour as much time as you like , then cover place in fridge so it's nice and cold and eat with dinner.
